Societal Ethics vs Love Relations
Before you start
reading this article, I would like to bring your kind attention to your
surroundings first. You would definitely not disagree that we live not only in
the world of ethics but also bound by them throughout our lifespan. Human
beings are those animals who have developed the most as compared to other
species. They found society and preferred living
under its purview. Then they gave rise to the ethics that became so powerful
within a few span of time that it overtook the importance of love between those who are attached to one
another mentally as well as emotionally.
Through this article of
mine, I would like to express my great confusion between the two concepts that
we human beings have made necessary to live. One we call as SOCIETAL ETHICS
and the other as LOVE RELATIONS. By the word “love relations” I mean
particularly those love affairs that are totally against the “societal ethics”.
If one is there, then the existence of the other would definitely be in a great
worry. When we come to know about any love affair between the two well matured
people and that too which is against the societal ethics, we start to think in
a different way about that person whether a male or female. We treat them as
against our society and its so called values after which we, in a manner, start
a revolt
against that love relation.
Though I'm not arguing that society is an
unnecessary hindrance in the life of the human beings. Actually, societies and
its ethical values are so important for the evolution of mankind that it would
be almost impossible to live a human life with the stability we are living right now. A love
relation makes us feel livelier, more energetic and it definitely gives us the
proper meaning to our birth. But it would also not be wrong to say that it is
the society that could make this love relation look more lovely. Man is a
social animal and this we know from our childhoods. If any unacceptable love
relation is rejected by the society, which is true in almost every case
especially in a country like India, then it is quite impossible for this love
relation to exist here in this world.
The fault is not only from the one end.
Sometimes, I think that societal ethics are too rudely made that there is no
scope for any love relation to enter within its limits. And sometimes the case
is totally opposite. Even the love relationship between the two is so selfish,
or I must say, so blindly selfish within itself that the loved ones do not bother
about their social duties and responsibilities under which almost each human is
bound worldwide.
There seems to be some kind of war between
the two i.e. societal ethics and love relations. And we all know it very well
that every war has a consequence of some sort of sacrifice from either ends. This
war is actually not to showcase their superiority over the other but to
represent one's existence within the limits of the other.
My confusion actually is here in this WAR
i.e. which side I must take. Should I be with the societal ethics under which I
was born and living, may be just for the sake of so called Mankind or Should I
stand with the love relation which makes my life look more meaningful. Should I
support the societal ethics because without them no love relation would
practically exist forever or Should I favor the love relation without which no
society would be as lively as it could. Although, if anyone of you have any answer then do tell me but kindly be sure to think over it critically.
